Like any other online money transfer company, PayPal also charges transactions on both ends, however, this always depends on the transferred amount and the country you are located in.
This fee usually amounts to a flat fee + a percentage of the payment processed for services and goods payments.
The “PayPal User Agreement” has specific information. You can find the User Agreement by clicking “Legal” at the bottom of any PayPal page.
- Threshold:
We implemented a $5 minimum threshold that is always active and is intended to help mitigate some of the transactional fees incurred on both ends. This was done based on overwhelming feedback from our community that they wanted to incur lower fees on their earnings with us.
Since payments go out every week, if you do not meet the $5 threshold at the time of payments being processed, the outstanding sum will be held until the next scheduled payment session at which the check is performed again. Note, that the minimum threshold is relatively easy to achieve, with only a handful of bug-reports or test executions being required to be confirmed for payment.
Can I increase my threshold limit?
The payment threshold is a global setting and affects all users. While we understand that this impacts some of our testers negatively, for the majority this is a positive thing.
Unlike other platforms, users on our platform can expect frequent and fast payment turnaround. This also increases trust with users, as they know whatever it is they are testing, will be paid at the earliest, instead of having their payments held until meeting a high threshold or a distant payout date.
