Why VPN Is Required
Some test cycles require you to connect through a VPN, as outlined in the Tester Spec.
If you are not connected to the VPN during such cycles, you may be unable to complete the test correctly.
TesterWork provides a fast, secure WireGuard-based VPN tunnel for this purpose.
Important notes:
You need a separate VPN profile for each device you plan to use.
VPN usage is logged and monitored. It must be used only for testing activities.
How to Generate Your VPN Profile
Go to the Devices page.
Log in with your tester credentials (if you aren’t already).
Click the cloud icon next to the device for which you want to create a VPN profile.
If you don't see this button, you may not have access to the feature on your account.
Click "Create new VPN config"
Configuration for connection is visible only once.
Import VPN config into your device, read below how.

Verification
After connecting to the VPN, you must verify that the connection is active.

-
If the VPN is working correctly, you will see:
A confirmation message, and
A different public IP address than your usual one.
Troubleshooting: Internet Stops Working When Connected
If your internet stops working after enabling the VPN, it is usually due to network compatibility issues between your device, your router, and the VPN server.
How to Fix It
-
Try a different internet connection
Switch from home Wi-Fi to mobile data
Or try a different Wi-Fi network
-
Check your NAT type
Go to Check My NAT
If your NAT type is “restricted”, VPN connections may fail more frequently.
-
Change to a more compatible network
Use mobile data
Or connect to a different Wi-Fi network with a more open NAT configuration
