What’s the Bug Tracker?
The Bug Tracker is the platform’s internal system for reporting, managing, and reviewing bugs or issues discovered during a test cycle.
As a tester, this is where you submit all the bugs you find, including details such as:
Severity of the issue
Steps to reproduce
Expected vs. actual results
Attachments like screenshots, videos, or logs
Using the Bug Tracker correctly ensures your reports are valid, traceable, and actionable.
Where to find the Bug Tracker link
You can access the Bug Tracker link during a test in:
The Tester Spec document
The Tester Work page of your assigned test
Clicking the link will take you directly to the system where you can submit your issues.
How to use the Bug Tracker
Before submitting a bug, it’s important to check whether the issue has already been reported. You can do this by:
Searching the tracker using keywords related to your bug
Checking the Known Issues list, usually found at the bottom of the Bug Tracker page (if available)
Important: Submitting a duplicate bug will invalidate your report and you will not receive payment.
Reporting a Valid Bug
Once you’ve confirmed your bug is not a duplicate and is valid, follow these steps:
Click or tap the ‘Report a Bug’ button
Fill out all required fields accurately. This typically includes:
Steps to reproduce
Actual vs. expected results
Attachments (screenshots, videos, logs)
Some fields may be drop-down menus, while others must be completed manually in your own words
Tip: Fields marked as mandatory must be completed before submission. Optional fields should not be skipped unless they truly don’t apply to your device, app version, or scenario. Providing extra information wherever possible makes your report stronger and more helpful to the developers.
Pro Tip: Familiarize yourself with the most common fields in the Bug Tracker before starting. Knowing what’s expected will save time and ensure your reports are complete and accepted on the first try.
