Whenever you want to manually install an unreleased iOS app on your device, you most probably will bump into the “Untrusted developer” pop-up.
This message can be pretty frustrating if you receive it for the first time, as it blocks you from launching the app (and from actually testing it). But there is no reason to panic! It’s fairly easy to solve this situation 😊
💡 Let us show you how:
- Open “Settings”
- Choose the “General” option
- Select “Profiles” or “Profiles & Device Management”
- Under the "Enterprise App" heading, you can see a profile for the developer
- Tap the name of the developer
- Check the prompt that is displayed to confirm your choice
- Notice, that now you are able to open the application in scope
Note, that from now on, you’ll be able to manually install apps created by this developer without receiving the untrusted developer message. The trusted status will be kept ongoing until deleting all the apps released by this specific developer.
