We know it can be a bit confusing to register for a test and then wonder what happens next. This guide explains the process and what to expect after completing a registration survey.
Registering for a test does not guarantee selection
When a client requests a test, we often send the registration survey to more testers than needed. This helps us make sure we have enough qualified participants who meet the requirements, like:
Specific devices or operating systems
Languages you can test in
Locations or regions
Other criteria specified by the client
Because of this, completing a survey doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be selected. Only testers who fully match the client’s requirements will be invited until all available slots are filled.
Why you might not be invited
Even if you complete a survey, you may not receive an invitation if:
Your device, OS, or language doesn’t match the client’s needs
Other qualified testers fill the slots first
Some required information is missing or incorrect
Important: This is never a reflection of your performance as a tester. It’s just about matching project requirements.
Complete the survey carefully (It’s one-time only!)
A few tips to make sure your survey gets you matched whenever possible:
Add all devices you own
Select all languages you can test in
Double-check that all information is accurate before submitting
Remember: You can only complete the survey once. You cannot edit or resubmit it later. Missing or incorrect info may prevent us from matching you to the test, even if you’d otherwise qualify.
What happens next?
If you are selected, you will receive an invitation with clear next steps.
If you don’t hear back, it simply means you were not selected for this test, but you may still be a great fit for future ones.
In short:
Surveys are sent to more testers than needed
Completing a survey does not guarantee selection
Take your time to complete surveys carefully as they are one-time only
Make sure all devices, languages, and details are correct
Thank you for helping us deliver high-quality testing! Your attention and patience make a real difference for clients and the community.
